Fair Officials Make Changes in Junior Department
It’s just a little more than a month away from the day Obion Countians will be entering their creations in the Obion County Fair.
Students ages 5-18 can enter everything from arts and crafts to sewing and photography on Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Changes were announced immediately following the 2008 fair in the junior art department. Children will no longer be able to enter paintings and all drawings must be done directly on the blank side of a 5-inch by 8-inch index card. This change was made due to the lack of space to display the work, it was noted.
Pen and ink, magic marker, pencil, colored pencils, glitter pens, glitter crayons, pastels, charcoal and crayons are acceptable mediums for the drawings.
